Favorite Verse, Why?:
Galatians 5: 13 For ye, brethren, were called for freedom; only use not your freedom for an occasion to the flesh, but through love be servants one to another.
- This verse is just a reminder to me that my freedom in Christ was bought, and that purchase was not for me to live selfishly for my own desires, but instead serve the Lord by loving and serving those around me.
What are some of your interests, hobbies, passions?:
For me I really enjoy messing around in my yard, I enjoy landscaping and gardening. Since moving to Glorieta in September, I have realized I am in for an adjustment, Texas has much different winters. I also really love music, especially worship. I have a tendency to greatly connect with God during worship and I truly value that time.
Why did you choose Glorieta Camps?:
I have been working for our sister camp, Camp Eagle for the past 8 years, it has been a place where I feel like God frequents me most. I have seen the Lord work in such incredible ways through the years and have faithfully seen Him come through in incredible ways to bless this ministry. When the opportunity came to move to Glorieta I was a bit hesitant, but felt God truly pushing me to make the move with my wife out here to start this program and to be a faithful servant to those who will come through the gates at Glorieta as well as to the people living here. I was told to frequent the places that God frequents you, so I plan on being in this ministry for a long time.
Why do you work with Day Camps?:
I have always had a passion to lead students to Christ. I love their excitement and zeal for learning new things and their ability to see through the haze of the world and get straight to what God has for them. It is an impressionable time in their lives and I hope to glorify God by speaking Truth to these young lives and to encourage them further towards Him.
If you had one super power, what would it be and why?:
I am one for the power of flight, I wish I could just fly where ever I wanted to be and not have to deal with the transit of land, but get a perspective of the world from a view from above. Who doesn’t want to fly?
